Teaching Resources for the Classroom:

  • Native Land Map -  There are a number of ways to use this website. You can use it directly above by entering your address, or by mousing or clicking around on the map to see the relevant territories in a location. Once you click, a number of links will appear with different nation names. By clicking on those links, you will be taken to a page specifically about that nation, language, or treaty, where you can view some sources, give feedback, and learn a little more. We are always trying to expand our resources on these pages. This map is a great way to learn about your local tribes and tribal lands.
  • Vermont Pride Center Education Resources - The Pride Center has compiled a number of resources on their website that can help guide support for LGBTQIA+ students and educators. From how to use pronouns to using the Gender Unicorn worksheet with students.
  • Here Wee Read - Here Wee Read, is a blog where Charnaie Gordon expresses her creativity and passion for reading, diverse literature, and literacy. Her passion for diversity and inclusion is driven by a desire for everyone to have his or her own voice, whether it be through books, television, or other media. She blogs about and suggests books allow students of all races, and all ethnicities, to see themselves represented and included.
