Getting to Know the NGSS for Maine's Environmental Educators

The Maine Mathematics and Science Alliance is pleased to be teaming up with the Maine Environmental Education Association to offer “Getting to Know the NGSS for Maine’s Environmental Educators.” During this free workshop, we explore the key shifts in the Next Generation Science Standards, model how to incorporate these shifts into programming, and think about ways that Environmental Educators can both lead and support the transition to the NGSS! Engage in a conversation about how your programming is already incorporating these shifts and how to engage with in-school educators about how your programming can support student learning. As a fun bonus, we will also be modeling ways to engage youth in scientific investigations in both face to face and virtual environments.
