Tips and Tools for Early Childhood Special Educators

Judith Masson, M.Ed.

Oct 2 @ 8:30 am – Nov 6 @ 8:30 am

Live virtual workshops ~ 10/2/20 & 11/6/20     8:30-2:30

Target Audience: Early childhood special educators (new or experienced) and general educators who want to be better informed about special education processes, as well as administrators supporting these professionals. A day in the life of an Early Childhood Special Educator (ECSE) is always busy! Each day is chock-full of teaching, meetings, and paperwork responsibilities. These responsibilities become even more complex for those working in multiple settings and on teams. Managing it all can sometimes feel like a daunting task. This two-day live virtual workshop series will sharpen your organizational skills and add to your strategy toolbox as we walk through each step of the special education process. We will discuss the daily operations and responsibilities of being a preschool case manager/service provider and brainstorm cost-effective, time-smart approaches. Additionally, each day will include an optional “make & take” session for creating materials that you can start using your next day at work. Participants will be prepared for this by referencing a project list which will be sent ahead of time and will include simple printables & common objects.
