Putting starts or seeds in the ground is great, but with a good understanding of soil health and fertilization your crops will thrive! In this workshop we will go over the basics of building healthier soils and fertilization techniques for common garden vegetables. We will focus on low cost efforts using stuff you might find around your household or nearby wild areas. We will also go over and answer any questions about products you can buy to help fertilize your garden.
This workshop is facilitated by Nathan Lake, Field and Farm Coordinator at the Intervale Center. A decade ago, Nathan began to learn farming at the Green String Institute in California and has been working in agriculture ever since. He aspires to help others develop relationships with and learn to grow plants on their own through projects such as The People’s Farm at the Intervale Center.
This workshop will take place at the Intervale Center, 180 Intervale Rd in Burlington.
