Co-hosted by Audubon Vermont, Pride Center of Vermont, and North Branch Nature Center
Saturday, August 03, 2024 1:00pm - 3:00pm EasternMontpelier, Vermont
LGBTQIA2S+ hikers are invited for a leisurely summer walk at North Branch Nature Center this July! We will hike a short distance of about 1.2 miles, including NBNC’s Universally Accessible trail (0.3 miles). After our hike we will spend time lounging by the North Branch of the Winooski River. Light refreshments will be provided by Audubon Vermont. There will be no swimming during this event as there is still flood damage and risk associated with the water.
Although this is an affinity space for the queer community, we welcome allies of all ages! Participants under 18 should be accompanied by an adult. No dogs, please.
The trails are mostly wide and flat. For more information about the trail network, visit NBNC’s trail map page.
Trail surface: Compacted crushed stone as well as compacted dirt.
Accessibility: Participants using wheelchairs, mobility equipment, or strollers may need all-terrain tires or adaptive/motorized equipment for the surface type and grade after the 0.3 miles of Universally Accessible trail.
Registration is required.
